Scott Niebauer began his musical career on the shores of Lake Erie in upstate New York. After acceptance into Fredonia State University of New York, Scott extended his education on a student exchange program in Caracas, Venezuela.

Focusing his efforts on dual passions of performing and composing music, Scott completed a course of study in music education, composition and performance before earning his Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. An intensive immersion in classical guitar performance and pedagogy helped to refine Scott's technique and develop his personal approach to music.

From Tennessee Scott headed to San Francisco, California where he took part in the San Francisco Guitar Society and was fortunate to be employed by the world-renowned Guitar Solo Publications. Throughout his travels, Scott was able to complete masterclasses and informal lessons with some of the world's leading classical guitar luminaries such as Stanley Yates, Luis Zea, James Piorkowski, Roland Dyens, and Lawrence Ferrara.

Currently residing in Raleigh, NC Scott is now available to perform classical guitar for any type of event including city, country and church weddings or even less formal occasions such as birthdays or dinner parties. Scott is also a patient and attentive classical guitar instructor and is now accepting students in classical guitar.
